iOS 8 was released and launched on Wednesday 17th September and was officially made available to all compatible devices such as iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad mini 2 and iPod Touch 5G.

Millions of iPhone and iPad users with the compactible devices have already updated their firmware. However, the next big thing eagerly awaited for by the whole community is the iOS 8 Jailbreak tools. This year we have 3 teams who are working day and night to make sure the iOS 8 users enjoy services for the iOS 8 Jailbreak tools and Cydia tweaks.

If you have already upgraded your device firmware to iOS 8 and you don’t like it since it is missing jailbreak tweaks, then don’t need to worry since in my article am going to give you a detailed overview of the expected iOS 8 jailbreak tools.

iOS 8 Jailbreak

Pangu team have before been responsible for the untethered jailbreak of iOS 7.1.1 and then they followed by releasing jailbreak tools for iOS 7.1.2. Pangu team has now confirmed that a recompiled version of their jailbreak tools have been used to successfully jailbreak iOS 8.

Although Pangu say they have managed to jailbreak iOS 8, they have not yet said whether it was one of the iOS 8 beta versions.Although the Pangu developer has not announced the date to release the Pangu Jailbreak utility, in the near future we have hope that we can download and install Cydia for iOS 8 with Pangu iOS 8 jailbreak tools.

Evasi0n 7

Evasi0n 7 has been able to support the jailbreak of up to iOS 7.0.6 version. For a matter of fact, Evasi0n 7 has not been able to jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 and 7.1. This makes us to have doubt on whether Evasi0n 7 will be able to jailbreak iOS 8 or not. However we need to build trust in it.

If you can remember, Evasion 1.5.3 was unable to jailbreak iOSs 6.1.3, 6.1.4, 6.1.5 and 6.1.6 however the team was able to jailbreak iOS 7 versions again. Because of this fact we need to have trust that either Evasi0n 7 or any other versions will come to jailbreak iOS 8 to download and install Cydia.

Evasi0n version has been very popular with its jailbreak process as untethered. The process is easy to run and also you don’t need to turn your iOS device to DFU mode. It has also been possible to boot and shut down the Evasi0n jailbroken iOS device hence when this expected Evasi0n version will be released, the iOS 8 users will have to use it without thinking twice.

The owner of this new iOS 8 jailbreak tool Stefan Esser, aka i0n1c has not yet released the untethered jailbreak utility (Cyberelevat0r), however he has posted its video on You Tube. Instead of releasing it he has used it severally to advertise his security workshops. The owner has not yet released the Cyberelevat0r site yet nor has he said the release date to.

Bottom line

In the near future we will be able to download and install Cydia for our iOS 8 device using the above mentioned iOS 8 jailbreak tools. As we have been able to enjoy the Cydia tweaks with the previous iOS versions such as iOS 7.1.1 and 7.1, rest assured that we will have to enjoy the jailbreak of iOS 8 too.
